On Palm Sunday, similar to other Christians, NBPC reflects on our Savior’s entry into Jerusalem. Jesus and his disciples finally entered the Holy City in a warm, joyous welcome of palm leaves, cloaks, and Hosannas, riding on a donkey. The Gospel of John depicts Jesus’ triumphant entry in this way: “The next day the great crowd that had come to the festival heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. 13 So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord—the King of Israel!” (John 12:12-13 NRSV)
