Please greet members of the Hispanic/Lantix community in your presbyteries and synods and thank them for their show of solidarity.

Blessings,

Tom

“This video (here), created collaboratively by the Hispanic/Latino-a Intercultural Congregational Support, Presbyterian Publishing Corporation, and the Hispanic/Latinx National Presbyterian Caucus, reflects the sentiments of the many Latin American communities who are part of the Presbyterian Church (USA).

We wanted to share with our church our solidarity with all people of color in the PCUSA, but specifically the Black community inside and outside the church, after the murder of Mr. George Floyd, the latest example of systemic racism and the ongoing police brutality against African Americans in the United States.

Latinx people stand and walk and scream along with those who march daily demanding equality and a stop to institutional racism. We also have faith that someday, the words of the Prophet Amos will resonate true in our country and the world: But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never- failing stream!”
