The Inaugural Black Church Equality Fellowship (BCEF) $4,000 Grant

Pride in the Pews recently launched the grant application for the inaugural Black Church Equality Fellowship (BCEF). The $4,000 BCEF Grant is a distinguished nationwide leadership development grant program for Black faith leaders committed to advancing congregation-based programmatic initiatives that promote LGBTQ+ inclusion.

The grant seeks to invite 10 Black faith leaders to carry out congregation-specific projects that demystify conversations and action at the intersection of the LGBTQ+ community and the Black Church. Black faith-leaders will receive a $4,000 grant, 1-on 1 consulting support, ongoing learning opportunities, and two all-expenses-paid trips to Chicago for mandatory cohort convenings.

All US-based Black congregations within the Christian tradition, regardless of size, governing structures, or denomination are able to apply. The deadline for the grant is March 24th, 2022. The Request for Proposals and grant application can be found here. Frequently asked questions can also be found HERE.
